Chicken and Orzo


  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 2 large carrots, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 cup chicken stock
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 lb orzo
  • 1 Tbsp minced flat parsley
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Premium All Purpose Rub


  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the onion, celery and carrots and cook until the onion is translucent, about 7 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant, approximately 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the chicken stock, increase the heat to high, and bring to a boil. Once the stock is boiling, stir in the chicken and the orzo.
  • Reduce heat to medium and add parsley, salt, garlic powder and Premium All Purpose Rub. Simmer until the vegetables are tender, the orzo creamy and most of the liquid has been absorbed, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Dish and serve.
