It is in no way an expiration date. According to the USDA most products are safe to consume long after the ‘best by” date has passed. All Fat Boy Natural BBQ 4 oz. rubs have a “best by” date of three years after packaging. Any products that are “short dated” are sold at a discount and the date is stated in the listing when purchasing the product.

We found this rub in a clearance bin and decided to give it a try. It’s so good on anything. After running out of the small 4 oz bottle, I just bought one of the giant 24 ounce shakers PLUS 4 more 4 oz bottles to send to friends. We also bought 4 other rub flavors and 3 or 4 bottles of sauces. I recommend it to everyone!

As a previous reviewer stated, I also found this in clearance bin at Kroger. Used on crock pot ribs and on a smoked pork shoulder and both had best flavor I’ve ever had. So I instantly googled it to buy more. Bought the 24oz and definitely will buy more. This is my go to rub. Would like to try their other rubs as well. I highly recommend this rub.

The label design changed and it was hard to find what I wanted with all the options now available. I ordered on line as my Hy-Vee didn’t carry the one I wanted. Very good product and I have thrown away all the other brands I had.
